Editorial material is something that everyone wants to do at some point in their life as a photographer. I guess its similar to making television commercials where I have made hundreds and all the major leading brands globally as well. Many of these have translated into editorials for magazines and billboards, and now more than ever the opportunity is coming up all the time in digital media.
So what will you learn from me in the 3 to 4 1/2 hour exercise. I’ll try and condense over 3 decades of working on commercial accounts from around the world. From MSD to high fashion, from retail spending to car companies and alcohol businesses all selling their brand.
We’ll go on location and shoot whats required to make it work, you’ll post produce and compare notes, and I’ll explain what will work and what won’t. And why would I do that, because I am always pitching and creating something different, thats how I make a living. You can too, if you excel in the ideas department, technique comes second. Learn to mast both.
